I've just moved house and have ordered a new cooker but its going to take 2 weeks for delivery with the bank holiday weekend.

So in the meantime I have a halogen oven to use.

Any tips or hints or recipes, can I cook everything in it?

Anyone that uses one and has any advice would be great.

Also any deals on carpets or wood flooring around that anyone knows of?

Shop around is the best answer to your second point. I got all my laminate from Wickes, personally. But don't buy the cheap stuff, it's a false economy as it is an absolute pig to fit, particularly on your own. The stuff with the plastic-edged click lock is much nicer to fit as you can do a plank at a time.

I lived for a year with a halogen cooker... I cooked everything from roast chicken dinners to baking scones in it. A great little bit of kit. Wouldn't recommend you try to cook full size pizza in it though (the top will colour nicely, but the heat won't get underneath to cook the dough)
