Hi,
Does anybody have any information, beta, knowledge etc. on the route Deep Blue Sea on the Eiger (Geneva pillar)?
Any information or helpful hints would be hugely appreciated. I have found some stuff on the internet, but anything extra is always helpful.
Cheers in advance

Hi

I think this is the climb Dean Potter does with a parachute on his back as far as I can remember. Can't remember the name of the video though.

Edit the video is on youtube

Do you have Versante Sud's "Arrampicare in Svizzera"? It suggests:

- 7b+, 7a obligatory, S3, IV
- Route length 320m, 11 pitches (although the topo shows 9: 6b+,6b,7a,7b+,7a+,7a+,7a,7b+,4c)
- Bolts plus leader-placed gear
- 11 quickdraws, Friends 0.5 - 3, nuts
- Follows the blue streaks right of Spit...
- Approach via 3 abseils in the vicinity of the exit of the 1982 Brunner-Ochsner route and then along ledges (including section of fixed rope) to start
- First ascent team compared the climbing favourably with Wenden and the Verdon

That's from the 2004 edition.
