Looking at getting a second hand one next week (have seen one at a good price)

Does anyone have any experience of owning one?

Anything to look out for prior to purchase?

I had one for three years,loved it,went all over the Uk and the Alps in it.Had bike rack on the back,converted a bed in the back.
You have to be economical when packing,I've had a bike,Kayak,climbing and winter kit in it,but tight on the odd ocassion.Had to move things around to get the bed down.

Good fuel economy,nice driving position and usual VW build quietly,had not troubles.I only traded in because i got a good deal on a Cali and like the bigger space.

I highly rate them,Enjoy it.

Got a 2009 caddy maxi combi van with tailgate, really rate it after various estates and fiat scudo.
Swallows bikes and gear and good space for getting changed in. Karitek roof rack for sea kayaks helps as I am short.
Will get another or similar ( ford connect lwb crew van perhaps when prices come down!)

Did look at Grand Tourneo Connect - few more years before they're in budget!

One I'm looking at is 180k on a 58 plate. Anything else to be aware of apart from the cambelt?
