how do you insure your kit??!!

We've got the point where our van can often have our full rack, shoes etc and winter outdoor clothing in while were in a cafe etc. How can you insure it?? Any one got any advice. ANY help would be great as i've been trying to get my head around this for a few days....

One of the most useful things you can do is keep receipts/invoices for all your equipment, and maybe take a photo of everything to prove what you had.

Strange reply. How do you know the details of what the poster's home insurance (assuming he/she has any) does or does not cover?
