Albahida (Gubia Normal) (4c)

Hey Guys,

I'm looking at doing this awseome looking climb in june whilst out in mallorca.
The guidebook says bring some trad gear and was just wondering how much trad gear will be needed as this will be the only tradish climb we will do and mainly sport climbing so don't want to take to much weight!

any advice appreciated!
Thanks

Read the route description for gear advice. Enjoy.

Following advice from my thread (linked above) I packed a single set of nuts (+doubles on 4 -7) and a few cams, this was ample. You could certainly suffice with nuts alone plus plenty of slings - there are pitches with literally dozens of good thread runners, especially high on the route.

A set of wires and some slings for threads will see you fine.

BTW Albahida was great, but La Ley Del Deseo (bolted route just right of the arete) was even better. For this route take two or three slings if you are continuing up the last easy pitch of Albahida (no need for nuts) and topping out - recommended for the best experience.
