Looking to buy my first van and settled on the VW Caddy it will be my only day to day vehicle.

Having never owned a van of any sort or even a diesel car looking at auto trader all the models in my price range have large(ish) mileage on the clocks.

Question is what sort of mileage is just a no go or I should be very wary off? What sort of common issues arise with these vehicles etc etc

Look at prior use and service history rather than mileage.

Thanks I will definitely be checking that but it still can hide a lot of issues. Engine management faults being one etc.
