What are the best maps to buy for a trip to Chamonix covering Mont Blanc?
Cheapest place to get them online?

Cheers

1:25,000 scale IGN maps. Numerous online retailers like Dash4it and Stanfords.

Mont Blanc itself is on sheet 3531ET 'St-Gervais-les-Bains Massif du Mont Blanc'. You can also do screen grabs from the IGN website.

The Swiss "schweizmobil" link above is surely a very useful one, but note that even though you can print at 1:25,000, you do not get as much detail as on the equivalent Swiss paper maps you can buy at that scale. Most obviously the contour interval is 20m, which is what you would get on the paper 1:50,000 maps, rather than 10m. The 1:25,000 IGN maps as mentioned above are the best bet.
