Just a heads up for anyone looking at climbing on scafell in the next few days.
Went up today looking to do moss gill grooves. The crag was shrouded in cloud at 9am but went up anyway. The becks were running and it looked like it had rained overnight, anyway carried on up and the crag slowly cleared. It was obvious that there was a lot of dampness on the crag and all the main seepage lines were weeping, from below it looked a no goer and the grass approach and ledges were wet.
We hung around a while and some of the rock seemed to dry a little, but stiil weeping where you dont want it!
It warmed p a lot today but as we left CB Saxon MGG ect were still weeping.
Looks like heavy downpours possible with the heat tomorrow afternoon so there you go
Good luck to anyone having a look.
