The owners of Hoghton quarry (Lancashire) have decided not to allow climbers in this year. Tree safety is the reason they have given.
In reply to thinredline20: It's nice that they're concerned about our safety. Perhaps the BMC could offer to pay for a tree surgeon to go in and sort out the supposedly dangerous trees?

If climbers can't go in then presumably none of their estate workers can go in either, because they'll be in as much danger as climbers. I'm sure they're equally concerned about everyine who uses the quarry. As they use the quarry for something to do with rearing game birds it's going to hit that side of the business so I'm sure they'll want it sorting out - won't they?!
