Ws trying to access Mermaid wall on Tuesday at low tide and it was not possible at all.
Is this due to the neap tide or was it due to strong onshore wind.
Do you have to go at Springs?
The cove with Mermaid Wall is set back further than the buttress you have to walk around to get to it, so if you are prepared to paddle in (the seabed is nice soft sand) then you can climb most of the routes even when the low isn't that low, the window is shorter though I guess.
Thanks for the replies, I'll check the height of tide next time and go for a Spring tide.
I thought I could probably paddle in ,but there was some fairly big waves that day so erred on side of caution.
