Today I witnessed the most impressive climbing performance I've ever seen. 16 year old Aidan Roberts made the 3rd ascent of Freakshow, my Kilnsey 8c. It was his first ever outdoor sport route, he did it in 2 sessions, conditions were terrible today and he's been climbing 3 for years.

Wow that is amazing, well done!
And from the information we already know what the answer would be to "the"question/statement that is commonly posed on the forums.
I did a little bit of research and think that the young man has probably bouldered outdoors but not ever sport climbed. He may have done stuff on.. well you know the rest.
Very impressive to get from starting to that sort of level in 3 years, more so potentially than then making a quick transfer to outdoor sport.
"Indoor comp champ and 8B boulderer ticks 8c" is probably to me less startling than "from nothing to indoor comp winner and 8B boulderer in 3 years" is!
