I did it in around 8.5 hours, got soaked on Derwent edge, got a terrible blister by the time I was at Burbage South and could barely lift each foot to walk by the time I was at Birchen. Then I had a 2.5 hour drive home. Great day though
Good fun, as usual. I was loaded to the eyeballs all day on strong painkillers due to a nasty back injury. Still did all the climbs (sorry for any screaming/crying) and finished with no blisters. The weather had attitude in the morning, and cleared up for a beautiful finish. This is the tenth time I've done it, and the only time with any rain so can't complain. Same again next year...?
Great day again, despite or because of the atrocious weather until 2 PM. Climbing in the rain was bizarrely delightful! To have the sun at the end was a excellent for the morale. The beer outside the pub was the best of the year!
