...interesting piece of peak climbing memorabilia from Tony Ryan in the BMC office this afternoon - Sardine top roped in 54 seconds by Simon Nadin back in the 90s, pretty nippy I'd say.

Rumour was that included coming back to the ground.

To facilitate the descent the belayer pre-tied a knot in the rope and let go when he clipped the belay.

Ask Tony if he knows
