I went for a bike ride down Borrowdale today and it is about as wet as it gets. Rivers flowing where rivers don't normally go and Derwentwater extending almost to Grange! The river Derwent was looking like the Zambezi with grade 4 rapids. Although we didn't visit the Bowderstone, the torrential horizontal rain that was falling will probably make the stone a tad on the damp side. I'd stick to Eden rock in Carlisle for the time being.
