Asad is one of the stumbling blocks over peace in Syria and agreement with Russia over defeating Daesh.

I wonder if the Saudi's would be prepared to offer him sanctuary and a generous subsidy in return for his resigning as President of Syria in the same way that they did with the despot Idi Amin of Uganda?

If not:

1. We generally spell it 'Assad' over here.

2. Saudi Arabia has been arming the opposition to Assad; I don't think they're on friendly terms.

Yeah would more likely be Iran given that Assad is Alawite so sort of shiite like they are in Iran.
