Hi there,

Does anyone know what the situation in Brean Down is? Were the dead goats taken away? Is it possible to climb there now without gas mask?

Cheers,
R

Its a big place is Brean Down.

I was there two weeks ago and the upper area was fine but around chepito was still smelly. There were only two carcasses there almost rotted away.

Yup, it is, but if you'd have known the answer to my question, you'd know which part of Brean Down I am talking about.

Heard about these stinking goats, hasn't anyone got a pet vulture they could bring down?

It'd probably get shot by the natives.

I have a pet Jack Russel, but that may actually mean more dead goats..

I found the smell to not be a problem. My girlfriend on the other hand wasn't best pleased with her first trip to brean with them smelling and being there looking disgusting. The sunny day, nice setting and great routes made up for it though. I can't imagine they will last much longer though.
