Anyone been into the Norries today? Debating whether a punt on friday/saturday from Lancashire is lunacy or not.

Saw a pic on FB - snow stripped right back to patches and accumulated areas, more autumn/spring than winter today. No winter climbing to be had and will probably be just a sprinkling of snow in time for the weekend, if that. Nevis could be a good option in time for the weekend, which unlike the Cairngorms should receive some substantial precipitation.

It would be a waste of time. It's all gone from the gorms. I'm climbing in the nw at the weekend but only because I have too. It's going to be a double water proofs day.

I was there today. Close to no snow and nothing frozen. Waste of time coming up.

Thanks, I'd take the punt if I were still in Scotland but I can't do that anymore living in Lancashire!
