hmm, he disappeared without trace, didnt he! one of those things that everyone goes wild about for a year then realises they were just bland backward looking crap

In reply to BusyLizzie:

hmm, not sure why that wasnt allowed as a climbing pic, from the pose and expression I would say that seals just done a good brimham top out!

Well one can expect some dreadful puns, but that really seals the deal.

They're not wrong about left-wing types being the best comedians.

As Edunn says:

But while you are at it please can you confirm that this was a summer photo? If its summer then its a common seal (they pup in the spring). Grey seals are pupping about now. The seal pictured is losing its fur meaning that its weaned and probably left its mother. If it is St Bees (it looks like it to me) then its quite confusing as there are few common seal colonies in the Irish Sea. If its a winter picture then its more easily explained as it could be a Welsh, Manx or Solway coast seal. There is now a seal colony on Walney but there wasn't 10 years ago.

Yeah, but right-wingers are laughing all the way to the bank!

Not only right wing people like to get rich you know. I think it takes a person from a certain mould to be able to make a killing and live a balanced/happy life as well though, it can seem like most people get to do one or the other.

Yes, you're right, but he/she was talking about right-wing people laughing all the way to the bank. The same point could have been made apropos anyone laughing all the way to the bank.

Are you sure it's ten years? I left the UK ten years ago and it happened at least a year or two before that so I'm thinking more like 12 years now.
In reply to Dave C:

Yep defo...I took the pics on my trip Aug 2005
