An additionally, sunrise continues to get later until early (2nd?) of January.

But thankfully the dinginess is at its peak, and therefore on the way out. Bog off back to the southern hemisphere I say!

I honestly have no idea why it's the case - I simply know that it is! For example, in my back garden, sunrise doesn't get earlier until the 3rd of January. The easiest source to read: http://www.sunrise-and-sunset.com/en/sun/united-kingdom/aberystwyth (apologies for the locality).

Angles and shit. Basially because each day isn't actually 24 hours, they just average out at 24 hours over the course of a year. Of course a day is just off 24 hours, and a year is just off 365 days...
