Two Yorkshire lads rescued from Glyder Fach, they spent the night in a gully, in a blizzard.

Be careful and don't under estimate our mountains.

"The men, aged 35 and 40, from West Yorkshire, were winched to safety on Thursday after becoming stuck in a gully 3,260 ft up on Glyder Fach."

Poor guys, must've been horrible knowing you were stuck only 1ft below the summit.

It first appeared on the BBC around 10am when they were still out there so it had me on the edge of my keyboard until they got the update up about them being found. It was an awful night here and the report originally read like this:

"Search and rescue launched for Snowdonia climbers. Mountain rescuers are trying to reach two climbers stranded overnight on a Snowdonia peak. The pair are stuck in a gully at about 3,260 ft on Glyder Fach. They rang for help on their mobile on Wednesday at about 17:30 GMT but "extreme" blizzards, gales, and fears of an avalanche hampered the rescue effort by Ogwen Valley mountain rescue. Fifteen volunteers are attempting to find them but a weak phone signal means they cannot pinpoint an exact location."

Tough lads from West Yorkshire!

We was not stuck in a gully. We came out of central gully because the turf /snow was too soft and climbed up the right side of the wall.We took shelter between 2 slabs of rock about 100m below the top.The weather by this time was bad.

Ah cool. Glad to know you're safe. Just to be clear I was not having a dig at you, but rather the wonky reporting.
