Just watching this now, bloody hell did we think this enjoyable to watch and take children to see, very disturbing.

I can remember some of the acts, they used to be on saturday night TV in the 70's and some of the zoo's had animal acts, Chester zoo's chimps tee party was very popular

I think there is a brief period when kids love clowns and animals but don't care about cruelty or the creepiness of it all. Apparently I was mad about Charlie Cairoli until I was about five or six yet clowns make my skin crawl now. An as for Mary Chipperfields monkey spanking antics...
