Meh! My Internet went off, couldn't find WiFi connections in range, trouble shooter failed and got the title message as I tried to power down.

My comp is working and connected via cable to Internet. I've been trying to find a simple fix but all look complex. I don't know which driver has gone, never uninstalled/reinstalled drivers.

I suspect this us one for the repair shop but thought I would post in case there is a simple fix I haven't found. I'm not very tech confident.

I have windows 10 and it happened after I downloaded panda anti virus (free).

Heheh... Yup. And manually re-entering my WiFi name/details, and built in fixers 'resolve' stuff, and back off and on, and update check.

I don't have W10, but experience of other windows would suggest one of the following:
Roll back to before the install. (Av can sometimes do bad things)
Disable the av if possible.
Try to reinstall the WiFi card driver.

Good luck.

I wouldn't bother with any 3rd party AVs.
I'm on W7 and just use MS Security Essentials for years without any problems ever.

It turned out to be a dumb.... a whopping great big dumb..... DOH! No further details will be supplied and I will stand in the corner whilst I think about wasting people's time.

On a brighter note found a great little computer repair shop just down the road - really quaint and unpretentious, friendly guy sorted me out for no charge bless 'im.
