I have a few years old HP Pavillion G6 laptop, the fan stopped working last week so I replaced it but now I have a blank screen. The screen worked fine before I replaced the fan. I have checked every connection again and all are ok. Any ideas ?

I'm not an expert but I've known some HP Pavilions to have gpu and capacitor failures which can cause a blank screen. They haven't been economical to repair sadly.

I'd be tempted to say either something isnt connected right or you've broken a connection - it's easily done.
If you plug in an external monitor do you get a display?

Never say that to a hardware engineer who is holding a multimeter!

It's possible that when the fan failed, the laptop over-heated causing dmage to the screen / GPU.
