Matt and Tom on the summit of Aguja Bifida, 4 kbBritish climbers Matt Burdekin and Tom Ripley have made the first ascent of a new line on the East Face of Aguja Bifida Sur (South), making what is thought to be the third ascent of the mountain in the process.

Most people are members of the aac for their awesome insurance policy but dont realise that they also give generous expedition grants. There's info on the website, and you need to be a member, but its well worth applying. Same rules apply as most other grants i.e exploratory climbing/first ascents are preferred, and you'll need to give a lecture for the members after.
