Just down from doing north ridge of Stob Ban (Nevis one). Hell of a lot windier than MWIS suggested it would be! Wind slab building fast on west aspects at height, but also a lot still existing on east aspects as well...skinny bit of ridge was entertaining with collapsing snow on each side and gusty winds thrown in! Several teams out on North East Ridge, and reporting similar variations in slab aspect, and snow not overly useful until near the top of the route. Team of three looked to be having a good battle with Gendarme ridge. Path along stream is like an ice rink higher up towards the coire in places. Exposed turf freezing up, stuff insulated by snow still pretty moist...
MWIS still predicting light winds tomo...based on today's forecast and actual weather, think I'll take the Met Office one into consideration, who were closer to actual today anyway.
Cheers, hope folks had a good day and tomo is as good as forecast to be!
