Hi Folks,

This is a follow up to the previous topic, to keep things clear I have started a new thread:
http://www.ukclimbing.com/forums/t.php?n=631973

The study aims to explore determinants of climbing performance and the effectiveness of specific coaching interventions. Participation will involve attending two sessions at the wall, on two consecutive days.

I am still looking for last few participants for three slots:
http://www.climbingkinetics.co.uk/#!sessions/c1n8o
# Thu 18th and Fri 19th @1pm - 1 participant
# Sat 20th and Sun 21st @10am - 2 participants
# Mon 22nd and Tue 23rd @1pm - 3 participants

The study has been a huge success so far, filling these last few sessions will mean that I meet my target participant number.

I have relaxed the criteria slightly to fill these last spots, I am looking for participants:
-Competent indoor lead climber
-Climb between 6a and 6b+
-Between 18 and 50 (older increases variation in cardiovascular recordings)
-No known cardiovascular diseases or illnesses

If you would like to participate, or would simply like more information, either reply below or drop me an email.

Thank you,

Dave Giles

I'm still looking for two more for Saturday and Sunday. Something completely free and interesting to do on a very wet weekend!

That would be brilliant BAdhoc. Would you mind dropping me an email at d.giles@derby.ac.uk

Thank you very much.

In reply to DaveAGiles:

Sounds interesting, especially given the lack of research in climbing generally. Just wondering where and when the results of the study will be available.

In reply to stp:

I will finish collecting data on Tuesday. It will probably take me two months to go through the data. I hope to be able to post up a rough summary in May.

The full write ups will follow after this, but will subject to the snail pace academic peer review process...

I have had to add one last extra session for Monday 29th 6pm and Tue 1st 6.30 pm.

I have two participants, but need one more. Is anyone willing to lend a hand?

In reply to DaveAGiles:

Should be sorted now, thanks!
