I'm familiar with the Amdro boot jump and think it's a great product - but it's quite pricey. These guys do something very similar (alarmingly similar perhaps?) - does anyone have any experience of them? Works out a bit cheaper than Amdro.

Could you make it yourself? It doesn't look complicated.

I've no experience though.

At least this'll 'bump'...

No. No skills, no gear, no space, no time, no interest. Ta for the bump though!

I've been thinking of making a micro camper for a while new.
These kits look good value http://www.spacecampervans.com/

I get the impression he's too busy and without enough space and time to make his own. It's the point my dad arrived at during a certain phase in his life/career, he'd rather pay somebody and go and do other stuff.

Cheers. Yes, seen those through ebay. Significantly cheaper, but quite a lot less of it too - no cushions or blinds. I think the draw that pulls out for your cooker (Amdro and Peak versions) is great as it's not inside the car, but it's sheltered by the tailgate. The Amdro has the alcohol stove - which is pretty slow - included; I'm inclined to get gas.

Certainly a good few options now, I suspect all off the back of Amdro?
