Whilst climbing down on the Diamond Slab we saw the Coastguard helicopter apparently airlift a casualty out from what appeared to be the Sharbutts Quarry area of Blacknor South (assuming this was not an elaborate training exercise).
I hope for a speedy and complete recovery if someone was hurt. Respect to the rescue crew - some of the manoeuvres close to the cliff looked terrifying for both pilot and winchman.
Be safe out there.

Hope they're OK. Agree re crews - in '76 I helped to rescue a guy in the Alps (turned out he was the president of the French Alpine Club - a great bloke). To this day, am gobsmacked how good the guys in the chopper were. It went up from Cham and headed straight for us like some drone locking on. Was with us in a couple of minutes. It hovered right above, the blades within two feet of the rock face. The winchman had Jean off unbelievably quickly. And they were gone. Couldn't believe there were people so skilled and so brave.

Anyway, hope this person's OK.

If this report is accurate it sounds thankfully not too serious. Best wishes for a quick recovery.
