Uploading mp4 files to Youtube

Hi all. I'm trying to upload a 40 minute long (586mb) video file to youtube. Its uploaded as far as I can see (40 minutes upload time!) but for the last two hours it has been 'hanging' saying '95% processed'.

Am I missing something?

Is there anything I can do to complete the process?

"If after 8 hours you still see a status message next to the video saying Uploaded (processing, please wait), try removing the video from our site and uploading it again."

- Also, I take it you have used another window to go into your video manager page to check what is showing there?

Is your Google account verified? If not its limited to a 15 minute upload.

Verifying with a mobile number takes just a few seconds and unlocks the ability to upload longer videos.

Ta, Tyke! It was a bit of an epic but I think I have now sorted it following your link and updating my account and responding to emails blah blah.

There ARE times when not having broadband makes me feel like I am a disregarded part of the human race.....
