England struggling against the mighty Afghans - three wickets in 4 balls, 42/4 off 6

Deja-vu from almost every other major tournament (apart from the year they won it!)

Oh dear oh dear.

I was there at Lords when we lost to Holland off the last ball. This feels as though it could be worse!

On this pitch I would argue they need at least 130 (AT LEAST!)

Even then they could easily be bludgeoned out of it.

Some late bludgeoning at least gives us a bit of a score to defend and we have to bowl/field out of our skins and hope that the Afghani players get themselves over-excited and make the mistakes we did!

142/7 after 20 - one wayward over but otherwise the Afghans have have kept things very tight.

The big question is which England will turn up against Sri Lanka

And just seen Morgan's dismissal - what on earth was he thinking, letting his first ball go through, especially in a T20

Bit of a shambolic performance and one that England seem to save for the lesser Cricketing Nations.
How can they keep doing this? Especially after such a commanding performance with the bat against South Africa, but lets not forget the Afghans are decent and thats why they are in the Super Tens.

Wonder why Hales wasnt batting and looks like Topley was dropped as well?
Plunkett came in and bowled 4/12/0. Pretty impressive bowling from him.

Listening to one of the pundits earlier in the week and they reckoned Topley was likely to be dropped for a while as he appeared to be losing confidence.

Non striker run out. Are you allowed to remove your pads at this point. In fact, since he came out knowing he wouldn't face a ball, did he have to put pads on ?

Bangladesh are a seriously good team and what a bowler Mustafizir is!

Thrilling finish. Great recovery from SL, looked to have it turned it round, some vital wickets at the end.
