I have some time off next weekend. Does anyone have any reconditions for a UK bouldering trip?

Depends on so many things -- where've you already been, what sort of thing are you looking for, do you have a car, where are you based, how far are you willing to travel, etc..

That said: I went to Dumbarton last year and had a fantastic time. Fascinating climbing, generally quick drying if it rains, super-close to the train station and possible accomodation (I stayed at http://positano.org.uk/ , who totally deserve the free plug because they were endlessly forgiving of mats being dragged up their stairs, and serve a full Scottish breakfast which will keep you fuelled until supper time).

Downloadable topos at http://dumby.info/

Warning: expect to be hideously shut down until you start getting a feel for the style (then youl'll still get shut down, but not quite so hideously). Also, some of the bouldering goes into the seriously highball (or outright solo) zone, so use your own judgement about what you get on.

Hi. Based in Sheffield. I've not really ventured further than the peak district yet (except font earlier this year) I do have a truck which I can sleep in also.

That really does look good but maybe a bit far for a short weekend trip. Thanks though.
