Climbing at St Govan's this weekend and took a look at Piggy's Crack, the ungraded start looks like there's been a rockfall since the CC guide was written - it's all red, sharp and blocky, with no gear and looks quite tricky. Am I right? Or has it been like that for years? The upper crack looks untravelled, no chalk etc, which is surprising for a starred E1 right by the ab rope.

You're right - when the start of Munchies collapsed it took with it the easy way to traverse in to Piggy's Crack. Now you need to access the starting ledge by abseil.

Thanks John.

It looked like it might be possible to start up the initial wall of John Wayne and traverse in - anyone tried this?
