The abseil is only about 10 to 12 m from the top of a small gully and down onto a platform just above the sea. You can arrange a fixed belay for the ab rope in a crack (cannot remember exactly what gear but nothing unusual). Leave the rope in-situ if you plan to do a few routes. I took my daughter there when she was 8 and she coped fine, though she had quite a bit of experience. The platform from which the routes start is fairly flat and won't get wave washed unless there is significant swell. It's a nice place.
