Anyone any idea whether how the rock routes on shelterstone are looking at the moment? I only ask because I've just seen there's still a load of snow up in the northern corries. Also, does the crag take much seepage? - it's just pissed it down!

Someone did The Needle recently and it was dry. But it's rained this afternoon (and still is), so I wouldn't rush tomorrow.

Cheers Andy, we went up today, cracking! We did the first half of the needle and second half of the steeple - first half of the steeple was wet. For anyone interested, the first initial corners of the steeple were wet but appeared to have dried out by midday as I looked down. First 5b pitch of the needle was wet but passable... Other bits were pretty much fine, get on it!

On sunday the only remotely wet bit of the Needle was the final crack, slimy inside, but didnt really effect the climbing. There are no snow patches above Shelterstone, so the seepage should be minimal and it should dry out pretty soon after a burst of rain.
Hells Lum is covered in seepage as there is a large snow bank melting onto it.
