Totally read that as 'Sex bots worth a punt?'. :/

That's enough UKC for me I think.

Despite never really fancying the Soprano's I saw it coming up on NowTV at the weekend and being in a lazy mood I thought 'Meh', and watched the first episode.

I got through season one, and few episodes of season 2 in one day. probably about sixteen episodes. One day. I lost touch with reality slightly.

Currently getting near the end of season 2....liking it a lot and would recommend it.

And I loved Breaking Bad.

True detective season 1 was good as well?

Sons of Anarchy is awesome, Homeland was also brilliant, Orange is the new black ok, Californication is good and funny, Game of Thrones is excellent.

Just about to finish Californication so looking for the next set!

Just watching season 3 of Game of Thrones, not stopping till we are up to date. Eyes out on stalks!

Flight of the conchords. Just epic.

Not particularly recent, but The Sopranos is, in my opinion, the best TV drama I've ever seen. Not a weak moment.

The Wire is also really good but takes a bit more commitment, and I regularly needed subtitles.

Just you wait

Try The Code (https://www.amazon.co.uk/Code-1-DVD-Dan-Spielman/dp/B00NFK1T0W/ref=sr_1_1?s... ).

Very good Australian political thriller.

Most of the above plus
Deadwood
Jericho (nuclear bomb aftermath in usa)

Rather than buy box sets think about a Netflix subscription

Wayward Pines is worth watching, it completely wrong-footed me until about half way through series 1.

In reply to Flinticus:

No because Game of Thrones is utter turd.

And walking dead started alright but just got crap. I couldn't stand Ricks Wife. And Ricks best mate was the best character and they killed him off.

The Shield.
Sons Of Anarchy.
Rescue Me.
Narcos.
Spartacus.

Vikings was good until season 3, then became turd.

OK until series 3

#spoiler

> The Shield.
Yep

> Sons Of Anarchy.
Yep again - especially with the Shield/SOA crossover later on

> Spartacus.
Porn - yep

I'd add, although it will seem quite dated, The Wire

And Boardwalk Empire

Best thing ever made, more like.

In reply to The Lemming:

The Wire. One of the best shows ever made. And yup, as someone else said you might need subtitles fof the first few episodes of season one.
womblingfree 23 Jun 2016
In reply to Motown:

The Wire's got so much depth, and so much going on. It's TV Shakespeare
 ClimberEd 23 Jun 2016
In reply to The Lemming:

The Wire is outstanding.

Bear with it through the first few episodes, you need to get the hang of it
