If you walk round the edge of the quarry I'm sure you'll find something to practice on. From memory the area around Orange Flash might work.

Cheers folks I'll have a look again at quarry as its nebeing ng to craigmore as well and used trees. Will use Neilston too, thanks again.

Not a whole lot of places to put gear (limited rack) but found enough to practise setting up anchors for belaying, used the same for for abseil anchors and rock came away, whilst giving it a good few tugs on one place. More popular with dog walkers.
