So one positive perhaps regards Brexit.

European funding and European legislation may now be easier unravelled to allow free access from Funicular top station and mountain bike development for a sustainable buisiness plan and continued tourist attraction and funds into local community. A local community take over and removal of incumbent NR management. Some good discussions on the subject on an old forum discussion from 2010! See link

For other info see some other old links for further info. C'mon let's stirred up a frenzied and agreeable solution that benefits both local community buisinesses, poor employees of Cairngorm mountain under oppressed managerial decisions and put the fun back into Cairngorm

In reply to Northsea: one positive of brexit is a disregard for environmental protection legislation? Really?

Yeah. Let's f*ck Cairngorm in the name of comercialism.

it already is.

But at least the f*ckedness is contained in a relatively small area. We now have the opportunity to expand it to Ben Macdui and beyond.

In reply to Northsea:

What are you proposing? A development similar to Nevis range (downhill skiing and mountain biking) on Cairngorm?

In which case, no, I wouldn't want to see that. There are good reasons for the closed system. If people want to go to the summit and wander around then maybe they could earn it by walking up.
In reply to toad:

I think it's called 'taking back control' by the Leave campaign. No longer hidebound by the tyranny of EU employment and environmental legislation, but free to exploit our resources (human and environmental), for the benefit of the greater good (i.e. the rich and powerful).
