Young Slovenian alpinists Aleš Česen (34) and Luka Lindič (28) have summitted Broad Peak (8047m) and made the fourth ascent of the North Summit (7900m) of Gasherbrum IV via the Northwest Ridge in the Karakoram Himalaya.

" Our climb to the north summit was clearly a failed attempt to climb to the higher south summit. After what was happening on the descent, we are proud we stopped there. 80s and 90s are still the future of alpinism. Hats off to all those guys. Back to the future!"
