18 year-old Molly Thompson-Smith has added to her international medal haul by claiming Bronze at the recent IFSC European Youth Bouldering Championships in Langenfeld, Austria - her first podium in an international bouldering event. Predominantly a lead climber, this was only Molly's fourth bouldering event on the international circuit.

This is a great result and I note the comment 'predominately a lead climber' in the report. This must mean she is a contender in 2 out of 3 disciplines required in the 2020 Olympics. I am aware that the appearance of Climbing in the next Olympics has drawn a luke-warm response on this site but please someone who matters pick her up with Shauna Coxsey and get them ready for Tokyo. I along with many others would like to see Brits doing well in climbing in that arena.
