I've been watching and enjoying lots of the Paralympics, many amazing performances, but a few have stood out as being utterly incomprehensible. How the hell do you high jump 1.8m when you only have one leg? and perhaps more remarkably, how do you swim 50m butterfly in 29 seconds, when you don't have any arms?

Simple.
The human mind and body are amazing things if people have the dedication and persevere.
Too many people are quick to claim they can't do anything because of a simple disability yet others push the boundaries every day and achieve things that most non disabled people could not do.

Most of the Paralympics is several levels above that, even by those very high standards, those two examples were spectacular.

The butterfly certainly impressed me. Incredible speed.
