Not only is Bear Grylls an inspiration to the Scouting movement he is also an inspiration within the Alpha Group - going along to another session tonight of open discussion after watching a video of Bear

Is there no end to this man talents - adventurer/climber/Chief Scout/family man etc.

I quite agree, I would willingly sell my house and all its contents to be in his presence.
My wife could have his children and I would bring them up as my own.

AS someone memorably once told me about Bill Shankly, 'he can sleep between me and the missus and take his pick'

Alpha are a very dodgy cult who prey on vulnerable people.

In reply to I like climbing:
They have little notices pinned up in church entrances inviting people to go along to sessions quite explicitly for the purposes of evangelising. If you were to go along and find you didn't like it you wouldn't go again. Dangerous cult?

Bear Grylls is a dangerous cult.

Have I spelt that right?

2/10 a very poor effort.

Funnily enough, of all the things Bear does to annoy me, whether it's hiding a safety rope with a clever camera angle or smearing mud on his face in an attempt to look like he just crawled from king Solomon mine nose first, his being a Christian isn't really one of them. Frankly, if I'd made as much money as he has from the fact that my development also arrested at age 10, then I'd thank the lord also.

There is indeed no end to his talents - problem is it's the front end

Oh, I don't know - he achieved 9 dislikes.

So lets give him 5/10 ? Once the dislikes pass 10 I'll up it to 6/10

Too easy though, it's like starting a thread on JC, you just light the blue touchpaper and walk away.

Surely, we need a better class of troll than this.

Are you talking religion, funny walks or politics here?

I'd rather have him as President than Trump and I really mean that.

The special relationship ended when Bear forced Obama to "pray" with him.

Judging by the polls I'd say we all better get on our knees and start praying.

Ha. Finally. Praise for BG faint enough that even I can get behind it. Have a 'like'.
