Hello everyone,

We are having our second freshers' meet this weekend, (21st-22nd October) in the Peak District. We are planning to visit Froggatt on the Saturday and Bamford on the Sunday.

As usual we have split our freshers' introductions over 2 weekends to avoid over crowding. We will be climbing in groups of 4 with two freshers paired up with two experienced members. We will try to spread our group out across the crag to avoid taking over certain areas or routes. We do not intend to set up any top ropes and all of our freshers will be wearing climbing shoes in order to limit damage to the rock. We will also emphasise to our new members the importance of good crag etiquette (clean rock shoes before climbing, leave no litter etc).

We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause and we will aim to keep disruption to a minimum. If you are at the crag and have any issues please seek one of our committee members and we will be more than happy to sort things out.
