I've visited Smalldale a couple of times and on one of those occasions, the midges were unbearable. Is this common? Has anyone been lately and found it like that?
I'm aware that it is warm and fairly wind free at the moment, so most Peak venues are likely to be a bit midgy, just wondering if Smalldale is particularly midgy in recent experience.
