I am off to Scotland Friday for the week. Do i need to take axes and crampons or has all the fun stuff gone. Planning to do Observatory Ridge then Tower ridge later in the week.

Thanks guys i will hang up my crampons and get out the rock boots. John i will email you when i get back with a report on the conditions but it looks like rain at the moment.

The current forecast is for cold at the weekend, with snow on the highest tops, so any snow remaining might consolidate. We're up there at the weekend and will certainly be taking axe/crampons just in case.
