Some previously unseen footage from 1984 has been unearthed of dynamic duo Louis Parkinson and Henry Heineman starring in an alternative, climbing-related rendition of Footloose.

That was the best climbing vid I've seen in a very long time! Sadly old enough to remember the original film when it came out too.
I wonder if the penny'll drop when I say climbing walls didn't look like that in 1984. Either that or a massive buzzer will go off, making me look a bit silly. Anyway, great fun and thanks for sharing.
Climbing walls were made out of concrete in 1984 and if you dived off from any height at all you would've broken your legs as there were no mats and the floors were concrete too. It was health and safety gone mad; there was none!
Also they hadn't invented stretchy jeans then so most of the moves would've involved a ripped crotch. Strictly Rons in those days.
The video is massive fun, by the way.
Really enjoyed that. Combines two of my favourite things. Footloose and watching climbing. I may be responsible for half the youtube view counts........
