Hi all - looking for an orthopedic surgeon in Sheffield, preferably specialising in ankles. Does anyone have any recommendations?

Thanks

Mr Simon Royston may be worth a try.  Consultant surgeon and now v senior in the Northern General Hospital.  He is a climber.  I think his big specialism is trauma and limb reconstruction (which is where I first encountered him) but no doubt he treats more chronic conditions as well. (I am assuming you have not posted your query from the foot of a crag, with your ankle half-way up towards your knee!)

Chris Blundell and Howard Davies (or Davis?) put mine back together after a fall 7 years ago, nasty bi-maliolar (sp?) fracture. Was also the surgeon for my wife after she dislocated and broke hers running a couple of years ago. Think they both work at the Northern and the Clairemont. Mr Blundell is on the BOFAS council I think too. Nice bloke, keen cyclist, wanted to see me back out and active as soon as possible.
