Interesting - they look very similar in style to recent karabiners made by a company beginning with D and ending with M... Who also are responsible for importing Mammut stuff to the UK, I believe. A conflict of interests here, maybe?

DMM don't import Mammut hardware nor clothing. They have Mammut ropes until December I believe. All is done by Mammut in Macclesfield. DMM do however make karabiners (and other climbing hardware) for several companies!

They mention Petzl as well in this article. Do you know if any other companies manufacture I-beam products themselves? Maybe DMM make it all, not sure? http://www.dmmclimbing.com/index.asp?id=12&lang=EN

DMM have manufactured carabiners and other climbing hardware for various companies in the past. Currently we do make carabiners,or other products for Wild Country,Petzl, and Mammut. DMM was the first manufacturer of Hardware to use the Hot Forged I Beam construction, which has enabled us to create biners such as the Phantom, Shield,Revolver and Shadow. In fact most of our biners now use this construction method which we have subsequently applied to Ice Axe production with the Rebel and Anarchist.Obviously other manufactures have now adopted similar designs, as it is an efficient way to create light, but strong products.
