Investigations are still ongoing, and the actual cause of the accident has not been yet established by independent experts. Every via ferrata set that Edelrid has produced and sent out was certified for use.
What to do with the retired via ferrata sets:
General users can send their via ferrata set back to Edelrid, or return to the shop where purchased. Distributors, retailers and renters are urgently requested to collect all the relevant via ferrata sets, store them safely and return them to Edelrid.
