Finally got round to leading this, 21 years after seconding it for the first time. Hard for 5a, but the gear is great where you need it to be, so hard to get too stressed. In my opinion, though, not nearly as much fun as (for instance) Lyons Corner House, Plexity etc - unless jamming really is your thing.

Started to lead and backed off. Andrew led. Then I led from scratch and got the route done cleanly. Underneath the niche is the crux. Useful 1.5 cam to protect this section. Left foot on the small foot hold next to the crack. Right on the small foothold on the face. Reach up high and get a great jam (make sure it's thumbs up). Then reach up with your right to the hold on the face. Pull yourself up and reach into the niche. Great holds and a v. big nut for protection.

Excellent route. Excellent jamming practice. My right foot slipped a couple of times below the Niche and I dogged this crux section but perseverance paid off and I got there in the end. Next up in jamming class 'The File'. I plan to repeat Bond Street and Saul's Crack before the end of the year in perfect style, and as a jamming pro.

Got to just below the resting niche. Something snapped and i downclimbed from the lower crux(!). Although the climbing felt really easy, it just didnt feel right, plus i new i could downclimb it!. Failed to lead this a couple of years ago, had a bit of an epic so that's probably the issue.
