First E2 lead!! Watched Jack fly up this so thought I'd give it a go. Forgetting that Jack's definition of good holds is different to mine. Spent awhile on the ledge but knew it was doable & on a good day it wouldn't be a problem. Had a small moment on the flake but had a word with myself (& Jack's "awesome" encouragement) , calmed down then carried on to the top. The move leaving the ledge felt tough for 5b but then it was our 3rd Joe Brown route of the day and I was having some head issues due to not having led for awhile. Brilliant.

Easier than I had anticipated, and the crux is protected. Make sure to do this one with half-ropes and cams in both corners for that 'cradle' effect in case you fall off the crux. after that climbing eases and the head game starts.

Did the start of Brown's Eliminate Direct then moved up onto Brown's Eliminate, it felt okay, just one really high rockover on small holds then things ease but get more run out! Would be a scary lead but I don't think I'm that far off just have to have a good head.

first E2! Absolutely stunning. Loved it. Found it very easy. Gear is pretty good. Managed to get a smallish nut and a good mid size cam in the arete break. Put a ground anchor in so that if I did fall and Paul ran, the rope would be held against the wall rather than pulling with Paul and potentially unzipping the gear. Stunning!
